Individual Giving Officer (FT)

Reporting directly to the Director of Individual Giving, the Individual Giving Officer advances the development effort by initiating and conducting personal visits with prospective and current donors for the purpose of cultivating and soliciting gifts to Culver-Stockton College’s annual fund initiative, EXP@C-SC: Funding the Student Experience.   Engages in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of Culver-Stockton College alumni/ea and friends to increase charitable gift revenue while developing a stable, growing constituent base.  Fulfills qualitative and quantitative goals, objectives and key accountabilities in order to increase donors and dollars raised.  

Experience & Job Related Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; Experience in relationship-based external customer sales or marketing, with a proven record of meeting established goals and objectives in a timely manner.  Strong preference given to not-for-profit fundraising background, particularly in higher education. 

An understanding and enthusiasm for the mission and vision of Culver-Stockton College.  Position requires extensive travel, both day and overnight trips, and occasional evening and weekend work.

Requires strong organizational, computer, clerical and bookkeeping skills. Fund-raising experience a plus. Must be attentive to detail, be able to prioritize and multi-task.
